A recent study by researchers from the state department of Public Health in California has refuted the link between thimerosal (a mercury-based vaccine preservative) and the increase in autism rates. The study goes on to show that even though thimerosal hasn’t been used in childhood vaccines (except for some flu shots) since 2001, the rate of autism has still risen from 1995 to 2007.

Now, for over three decades, experts have known that injected or ingested mercury accumulates in the brain. That’s because mercury is fat-soluble and the brain is composed of over 60% fat. So the brain neurons will tenaciously hold onto this mercury – possibly for a lifetime.

There are problems with the above study. Firstly, there is growing evidence that complications can arise years after a vaccination. Another reason these studies aren’t very realistic: they only look at one vaccine at a time, while most children will receive anywhere from five to nine inoculations during a single visit to the pediatrician.

It is characteristic of modern science – and especially medicine – to always look for one central cause of a problem, rather than explore additive effects – or even synergic toxicity of many agents (two toxins acting on the body together may be much more dangerous when they work in combination).

Medicine is gaining some new understanding about the science of toxin synergy in the body – and finding some surprising effects when as few as two weak toxins are in the body simultaneously.

For example, it is known that when two weakly toxic pesticides are used alone, neither causes Parkinson’s syndrome in experimental animals, but when combined, they can cause full-blown Parkinsonism very rapidly.

In 2004, Drs. G.S. Goldman and F.E. Yazbak performed an MMR study in Denmark. Their findings? – A 470% increased incidence of autism since the introduction of the MMR vaccine.
