Included is a measuring scoop (1/2 cup) inside and complete instructions for use are on the label. |

What materials will I need?
For each bath you will need to have on hand:
1. A wire whisk, or stirring utensil
2. A clock, or timer
3. An electrolyte drink, such as Emergen-C®, or Pedialyte, to take after the bath.
| We recommend Emergen-C®, since it is free of artificial flavors or colors and is a delicious effervescent fizzy drink which kids love. It is available either sweetened with fructose or unsweetened. You can purchase Emergen-C® Kidz™ Fruit Punch or Emergen-C® Lite from our shopping cart. You can also check with your local health food store to see if they carry them. |

How much clay should I use?
Generally speaking, children use anywhere from 1/3 cup to 3/4 cup (1-2 scoops), depending on the age, condition of the child, weight, and so on. There are detailed guidelines in the instructions, which come with your order.
How often can my child take a bath?
We recommend giving a clay bath about once a week or every 5 to 7 days.
What follow-up is recommended after the bath?
Some minerals, vitamins and electrolytes are removed during the bath and should be replaced immediately. It is recommended that you give your child an electrolyte drink such as Emergen-C® or Pedialyte, or extra vitamins and minerals after the bath.
Are Kids Clear™ Cleansing Clay Baths good for every child?
It is recommended that if your child has a medical condition, heart condition, high blood pressure or is taking prescription medications, you should check with your doctor or certified therapist. The clays have the ability to pull out prescription medications, since they are also chemicals. You can avoid this by giving the medications after the clay bath, not before. But please check first with your doctor.
Should I rinse my child off after the bath?
Yes. Clays can have a tendency to be drying to the skin if left on. A good moisturizing cream can alleviate this.
How warm should the bath water be?
The bath water should be comfortably warm, but not hot. Warm like a baby's bath, but not hot like a hot tub. Definitely no hotter than 104 degrees.
What is the best way to mix the clay into the water?
We have found that the best way to mix the clay into the water is to run the hot water into the bath tub, and at the same time, sprinkle the clay into the running water like icing sugar on a cake. Take a whisk and briskly stir in the clay. Then add the colder water until the correct temperature is reached. |
